The voucher program was founded by the Cheshire Food Drive, Inc. in the middle of the 1980s it is fully funded by the Cheshire Food Drive, Inc. Vouchers are available on an emergency basis to any Cheshire resident for the purchase of food or personal-care items at the Stop & Shop or Big Y stores in Cheshire, CT. Unless the person’s need is for longer than a month or so, there is no requirement that they are eligible for any particular program.
