Cheshire’s Human Services department oversees the Cheshire Food Voucher Program. You can find out about obtaining vouchers by contacting Kristen Schechter at the Human Services Department at 203-271-6690 or go to https://www.cheshirect.org/services/food_vouchers.

Emergency vouchers are available with no paperwork. Vouchers are available monthly and are valued at $40 or $60 for a family of four or more and they can be used at the Cheshire Stop & Shop and Big Y for food purchases.

The Cheshire Food Drive, Inc. solely finances the Cheshire Food Voucher Program which provides vouchers to Cheshire residents who are food insecure, even if temporarily. For more on the Food Voucher Program www.cheshirect.org/social-services.
