"Celebrating its 15th year in 2024, The Great Give is ... [a] 36-hr, online, community-wide giving event was created by The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven to raise visibility and resources for nonprofits serving Greater New Haven. Last year, thanks to the generosity of thousands of donors, the efforts of participating organizations, and sponsorships, the event raised an impressive $3.43 million for a record number of 513 local nonprofits."

"The non-profit Cheshire Food Drive, Inc. provides 100% of the funding for the town’s Food Voucher Program, a needs-based program administered through the Cheshire Department of Human Services. Food Vouchers enable Cheshire residents to purchase their choice of food or personal care items at local grocery stores monthly or on an emergency basis.

Since 2020, we’ve been able to fund more than $100,000 in food assistance, but food insecurity continues. Thanks to generous donations from people like you, we are able to honor every request for a Food Voucher. Thank you!
